How can we help?
Pre-Nuptial Agreements
A pre-nuptial or pre-cohabitation agreement can be written to record the parties' intentions with regards to the division of assets in the event of relationship breakdown. We can help you draw up these agreements using the process of mediation. The mediator will guide you through the areas to consider such as the division of assets including savings, investments, property and debts. You may also wish to include arrangements for your children. At present the courts are not legally obliged to enforce such agreements, although they now seem to be moving towards acceptance of them. Once you have reached agreement in mediation, you could ask a solicitor to prepare a suitable document for you.
